Best bang for buck powerlifting barbell in Canada

The bells of steel barenaked powerlifting barbell is the best bang for buck bar you can get in Canada. The only reason I gave it a 4/5 rating was because the barbell I received, fresh out of the box, had sharp metal shavings all over the knurling. It was impossible to use at first, but I cleaned it up with a wire brush and some 3in1 oil, so all is good now. This is something that should have been done before shipping to the customer though, so that is something to keep in mind. Overall, I love the knurling for deadlifts and the center knurling sticks well for squatting. I wouldn't use the barbell for front squats though, it can be quite rough on the skin in the front rack position.

You literally cannot find a better bar or a better price anywhere online. And the fact that shipping is only $29? Wow! My workout buddies are all jealous of my bar and often compliment it. I like how the knurling is most aggressive on the center of the bar, where on the sides it's more mild. This bar will obviously last me for the rest of my life and generations after I'm dead! For any serious power-lifter who likes the best quality, this bar is a must.

As advertised!

I have a small collection of barbells but needed a power bar to be my brute. Bells of Steel power bar doesn't disappoint, bar has good grip and nearly no whip. Only my first workout with it, but solid with a mid 3s squat and pulled 420 quick and easy with it.

Great bar for powerlifting

This is my first quality bar and so far it handles far better than what I previously owned. The knurling is a little more aggressive than what I'm used to, but I like it.

Excellent bar, flawless service

Got the bar two weeks ago, so I already used it for a couple of heavy squat and [not as heavy as I would like] bench workouts. It really feels great and is exactly the bar I needed for these two exercices. I'm glad I didn't buy the 100$ more expensive Rogue Ohio Power Bar as I don't see how it could've been better suited for the task! The knurling is more agressive than most bars, but nothing overkill and the tensile strength is better than the above-mentionned Rogue bar. No whip at all past 300 lbs so far, so I guess I'll be good to go for my max squat with no whip at all! Build quality is very good up to the sleeves with the "ripples" on them like any top quality bar. With its agressive knurling, it would probably have done a very good bar for deadlift also, next only to the extra specific bars with smaller diameter, even more agressive knurling and extra whip. Too bad I learned about this bar AFTER purchasing my super expensive Rogue Deadlift bar, which was nearly twice as expensive!:( Only problem I ran into is when I got the bar, the box was pretty beat up and there was a scuff (in which rust appeared soon after) on one of the sleeves. I contacted customer service with the details (and pictures) and they responded shortly, offering me 3 very honest solutions, even though the whole problem was clearly the CARRIER's fault! So I chose to keep the bar, brush the rust off and oil it the best I could and so far, it's not getting worst, so I'm happy! I really recommend this bar to anyone who's serious about strength workouts. If you have to own only one bar, the Narenaked Powerlifting Bar should be your #1 choice! Thank you BoS for making such a good bar available to Canadian customers without charging ridiculously expensive shipping fees!

A revolutionary powerlifting bar at an affordable price.

The B.o.S. Powerlifting Bar is the best Powerlifting bar you can get for under $300. A bold claim, I know, so here’s why having this bar in your gym will put you on a gainz train to muscleville.

The Specs
Specifically designed for powerlifting and to meet IPF specs, it is designed for people who’s three favorite words are bench, squat and deadlift.

An aggressive knurl with a bare steel finish gives you a superior grip and will prepare and callous your hands for meet day.

With a 210K PSI tensile strength, 1,5000lb weight capacity and snap ring design, the barenaked powerlifting bar is tough enough for both novice and world-class powerlifters

A thinner block allows for more plates to be loaded onto the bar and less whip, while the ribbed shaft helps prevent plates from shifting while lifting.

A powerlifting barbell differs from an Olympic weightlifting barbell in that it is more rigid in order to better accommodate the heavier weights. Our power bar is 1mm thicker than the Olympic weightlifting bar and has slightly different markings on the bar. Power bars do not have needle bearing and instead have brass bushing as they don’t really need for the sleeves to spin so freely like they do on Olympic bars.
