A meticulously designed all-inclusive competition grade Combination Squat Rack/Bench Press.

For the 3.1 version you are now able to order the full combo, or just the stands or just the bench.

Designed by Mike Armstrong, multi-decade powerlifting veteran and secretary of the Canadian Powerlifting Union. Meets IPF legal dimensions. The StrongArm Combo Rack!

Our popular heavy duty bench has been modified to include an easily removable bench so that you can now do squats with it also, just like on the (much) more expensive ER rack that we sell, and Eleiko racks seen in IPF World meets.

A meticulously designed all-inclusive competition grade bench press and squat rack.

Like to lift heavy? Of course you do. This is the rack you need, the rack that can handle any weight, and keep you safe. With band pegs, adjustable safety catchers, adjustable bar height and a spotter platform. Meets IPF legal dimensions.

Here’s some reason’s why you should have this rack in your gym:

  • Adjustment Levers: Everyone is different, body size, arm length, hand positions all vary. The chances of two lifters working out together needing the bar at exactly the same height is remote. Now you can adjust it in seconds, without needing to lift the weight directly, let a lever handle do the hard part.
  • Simulate the Competition feel: Simulate the feel of meet day with a rack that feels the same as the ER or Eleiko that you will use in the contest. All the proper dimensions as a contest rack.
  • Save Space: Space is always at a premium in home gyms, even in most commercial gyms. Similar to a cage rack, one rack that allows you to squat and bench in the same space is a good thing.
  • Band pegs: Band resistance has become an absolute essential when training the big three and many squat racks have been designed to accommodate this style of training. Problem is most bench press designs are stuck in the stone age. Our bench has 2 adjustable pegs on each side allowing you to attach bands to create a variable tension.
  • Nylon Rollers: To protect that expensive new bar you are using. Don’t have a bar yet? Try one of ours.
  • It has a powerful design: The bench handles up to 1,000lbs, enough to accommodate even the top lifters in the world. The adjustable safety catches and spotter platform ensures the safety of the user. It also meets IPF competition specs, which means you’ll be ready for your meet.(meant for use while benching only, always use spotters for squatting)
  • Safeties: Customers for our ER brand racks often ask if they can use the safety bars for squatting. This is NOT recommended, the rack WILL flip over towards you if a heavy weight rolls to the out end of the safeties. The StrongArm rack has TWO solutions to this:

    – The base of the rack has holes to allow it to be bolted to the floor.
    – The plate storage pins at the front can be loaded up as counter-balance. Both methods will prevent rollover but we recommend bolting it down if possible.

“How is it different than an actual ER/Eleiko/Bull rack?”

We get this question a lot. The StrongArm Combo rack is not meant to be a copy of those great products, the steel is not as heavy, the construction is not as “craftsman” precise, and does not (yet) change to the “IN” position. But we stand behind this product completely, and for 99% of those that buy one, you will not regret the decision. Just don’t buy it expecting something identical to a product that costs 4 or 5 times the price.

Combo bench

FedEx was slow in their delivery but when it finally arrived everything was in good shape. Assembly was easy and the components are top notch. Those jack arms can be stored straight up which saves room. Excellent product, well designed and thought out.

Great combo rack

Based off of other reviews that were given about the combo rack, I had lower expectations. This rack surpassed all my expectations!! It’s a damn good set up and it gets beat up in my home gym

Great combo rack

Absolutely great combo rack for my basement. I'd consider these in my gym too. The only complaints I have are moving the bench in and out with the spotter deck attached is difficult it's just awkward. I train alone so I removed the deck. The only other issue I have is the rollers shed white dust from the knurling on my bars tearing them up. I'll fab up some metal rollers at some point. Other than that this thing has done me well since I bought it and it feels like it will last a lifetime.

Good overall, especially for the price. I'd recommend not using the spotter deck though for ease of removing/putting back the bench.

Best combo rack for home gym owners. Not as well built as a Rogue or ER rack, but at ~$1000 vs ~$3300 for Rogue of ~$4000 for ER, it's a worthwhile trade off for those who don't want to shell out 3-4 grand just for a rack. The Strongarm combo rack has 90% the functionality of a full price combo rack at 25-30% of the price. The only features that are missing that might be important for others are the ability to put the stands "in" at an angle for larger athletes, and not having a tube of steel at each hole to guide the pin, which makes it easier to change the heights of the j cups easier for meets. Those aren't too important for most home gyms considering the heights of the j cups aren't changed as much in a home gym, but can be a problem for meet organizers. Besides that, the bench j cups shake too much for my liking, I know it's gonna hold, but re-racking and then having the bar/j cups shake makes me a little nervous. One modification I'd recommend making is to not use the spotter deck unless you train exclusively with a spotter when benching. It makes removing and putting the bench back a lot easier.

BoS Combo Rack Review

Kaevon and the BoS crew were very helpful in ensuring I got the product I purchased. There were some minor issues with regards to pieces missing or being broken. But they were all sent to me free of charge after I emailed the support desk.
