The Bells of Steel Onyx Powerlifting Bar takes our world-famous powerlifting bar and upgrades it with a cerakote finish. This will still get you to Muscleville, but now you’ll be travelling in style.
Intended explicitly for powerlifting and to meet IPF specs, it’s designed for people whose three favorite words are squat, bench and deadlift.

IMPORTANT: For cerakote-coated barbells, added care should be used to avoid abrasive metal-to-metal contact. Tight-fitting collars, weight plates, un-lined landmine attachments and j-cups, etc — these can potentially cut into or wear off the cerakote finish. Taking these extra precautions will preserve that beautiful rust-resistant finish for years to come!

A powerlifting barbell differs from an Olympic weightlifting barbell in that it is more rigid to accommodate the heavier weights better. Our power bar is 1mm thicker than the Olympic weightlifting bar and has slightly different markings on the bar. Power bars do not have needle bearing and instead have brass bushing as they don’t need for the sleeves to spin so freely as they do on Olympic bars.
In the box, you’ll find the barbell itself and a coating of oil in order to further minimize any oxidation during shipping and storage.

CanadaUsed the bare-naked steel BOS power bar in a powerlifting gym and loved the knurling. Went for the cerakote for my own personal gym. I'm training for powerlifting so I was looking for a bar that was IPF spec'd. The stiffness is where it should be for a comp bar. The knurling isn't as sharp as the bare steel alternative but still super aggressive. Took some time getting used to it. Usually people shy away from cerakote since grip get's dulled down too much but I don't think it's the case here. The paint on the collars do get chipped once you slide weights on and off. 250-300$ for a comp standard bar is pretty cool.

USThe Onyx Powerlifting Cerakot Bar is great. I purchased my own power bar to use in a commercial gym because the quality of a power bar is just better than your typical commercial olympic bar. The knurling is amazing for any/all lifts, the bar can be used for practically any lift, and it's also aesthetically pleasing as well. Some other gym members ask me about it often since it stands out compared to the other bars the gym has. The quality for the price is out of this world. If you need a quality power bar or any other high-quality gym equipment without absolutely breaking your bank, Bells of Steel is the way to go!
