Crumb rubber is an excellent alternative to sand for several reasons

  • A beautiful soft landing makes it less likely to damage your sandbag, particularly in rough or uneven workout spaces.
  • Less shifting than sand for an even weight distribution.
  • About 40% of the weight density of sand, meaning our 100lb sandbag will be 40 lbs with crumb, giving you more weight range when purchasing a set of sandbags.

Weighs less than sand

Just getting into sandbag training, so I filled a 200lb sandbag with 80lbs of rubber crumb. Once I get comfortable working with it, I can step up to the sand-filled 150lb bag that I have. Once the 150lber gets to be easy, I can pull the rubber out of the 200lb one and fill it with sand. Boom. Science.

I'll will be ordering more in the future when I've purchased for sandbags. Great product to replace messy sand.
