Trying to line up your j-cups perfectly can be a pain in the you-know-what. And unlike many of our competitors, we have lasered numbers every 1-2 holes to make adjustments a breeze. So you can easily change your j-cup height after your widow-maker squat set… because counting is HARD WORK when you can barely breathe.

You are an efficient and optimized MACHINE, that’s why we went with extra precise 1″ hole spacing to make unracking a heavy bar a little easier. After all, every morsel of energy matters when going for that 1lb PR (fractional plates, you da real MVP).
If you train alone, then you know what it’s all about: your own music, no line-ups, and curls in the squat rack. However, it’s essential that you train safely and that’s why every Hydra rack comes with your choice of pin pipe safeties or spotter straps. Because if you’re in a pickle, you should NEVER hesitate to dump a loaded barbell.
The uprights on the Hydra 3″ x 3″ Folding Power Rack measure true 3″ x 3″, which is exactly 76.2mm x 76.2mm with 5/8″ holes.
*Remember that the front edges of the upright base plates extend by 2.5″, the uprights are 3″ deep, and the stringers add 1″ of depth — resulting in a total 47.5″ or 60.5″ depth.
The Hydra 3″ x 3″ Folding Power Rack weighs a minimum of 295lbs when the smallest uprights & cross-pieces are selected with no attachments.
When bolted securely with the rack’s feet firmly in contact with the floor, the Hydra 3″ x 3″ Folding Power Rack’s weight capacity is 1,000lbs.
The steel thickness on the Hydra 3″ x 3″ Folding Power Rack is 11-gauge/2.9mm.
Both sides of the Hydra 3″ x 3″ Folding Power Rack can be folded inwards on the 24″ and 30″ depths with the folded rack extending out just 12″ from the wall. To do this, put a bolt through the REAR middle hole of the wall mount hinge and the REAR hole on the 8″ wall connector piece on one side, then put a bolt through the FRONT middle hole of the wall mount hinge and the FRONT hole of the 8″ wall connector on the other side. By mounting the connector pieces in this offset pattern, the uprights can fold inwards — one over the other.
Only attachments designed to fit true 3″ x 3″ uprights are guaranteed to fit on the Hydra 3″ x 3″ Folding Power Rack. Attachments for uprights that measure 75mm x 75mm (often labeled as 3″ x 3″ but are based on the metric system and are actually 2.95″ x 2.95″) will NOT fit on the Hydra rack.
To assemble the Hydra 3″ x 3″ Folding Power Rack, you need two 24mm wrenches (not included by default). Correctly sized box-end, adjustable & socket wrenches are suitable alternatives.
