How to Adjust an Adjustable Kettlebell: A Step-by-Step Guide

Are you tired of tripping over a pile of kettlebells in your home gym? Say hello to the Adjustable Kettlebell – the superhero of fitness equipment that can save the day! 🦸

In this article, we’ll break down what an adjustable kettlebell is, highlight its benefits, and provide a step-by-step guide on how to adjust it.

Get ready to kiss your cluttered kettlebell collection goodbye!

The Lowdown on Adjustable Kettlebells

The adjustable kettlebell is a magical piece of equipment that lets you change the weight of the kettlebell by adding or removing weight plates. Think of it as a transformer – compact and powerful, it can morph into multiple weights, all in one nifty package. Perfect for those who want to keep their home gym sleek and tidy!

Benefits of Adjustable Kettlebells

Aside from decluttering your space, the adjustable kettlebell has other perks too. It’s an affordable option, as you only need to buy one kettlebell instead of a whole set. Plus, it’s a huge time-saver. No more fumbling around with different weights during your workout. And, for beginners, the adjustable kettlebell is a freaking gift. Start with a lighter weight and build up gradually.

Adjusting Your Adjustable Kettlebell

It’s time to get down to business and learn how to adjust your adjustable kettlebell like a pro. Remember, different brands may have slightly different methods of unlocking and adjusting, so always read the instructions that come with your equipment. But in general, follow these steps:

Step 1: Unlock the Bell

Some adjustable kettlebell brands have locking mechanisms that need to be released before you can remove the plates. You can find the release mechanism on the bottom of the Bells of Steel Adjustable Kettlebell. Put the Allen key in the lock, do some twisting, and voila! The lock and bottom will pop right off. Note: if this is your first time unlocking our bell, it will be really really tight to keep it secure while shipping.

Don’t be hasty and make sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions, or you might end up with a broken kettlebell and a broken heart.

Step 2: Add or Remove Weight Plates

Unlock the weights with the included tool (it looks like a bottle opener). The steel cap will twist off easily.

Once you’ve unlocked the weight plates, it’s time to get creative with your weight selection. Our adjustable kettlebells range from 12kg-23kg. Now here’s the catch: you have to do some math. Sorry!

Start with a lighter weight and work your way up. It’s better to challenge yourself than to overdo it and end up injured.

Step 3: Lock the Weight Plates

You don’t want to end up dropping a weight plate on your toe, do you? Make sure to lock the weight plates back in place before you start swinging that kettlebell around. This ensures that the plates are securely fastened to the handle and won’t come loose during your workout.

Step 4: Test the Weight

Before you start your workout, test the weight to make sure it’s just right for you. If it feels too heavy or too light, repeat steps 1-3 until you find the perfect weight. It’s all about finding the Goldilocks weight – not too heavy, not too light, but just right!

Conclusion

In conclusion, the adjustable kettlebell is a superhero among fitness equipment, saving space, time, and money. It’s easy to adjust, convenient to use, and perfect for all levels of fitness. So, if you want to level up your home gym, go ahead and add an adjustable kettlebell to your fitness squad. You won’t regret it!
