The B.O.S. crew is a team of athletes who lift together for a variety of sports. Each member contributes their ideas and experience to further the Bells of Steel community, with training routine ideas, lifting philosophy as well as acting as “guinea pigs” for new training routines and implements. These are their profiles.
KAEVON “ICE AGE” KHOOZANI

Kaevon is the owner/operator/founder of Bells of Steel. Kaevon was first converted to alternative training by picking up his first Kettlebell back in 2008, and getting certified shortly after. Since then he’s been hooked on training for real world strength, and spreading the word of Kettlebell Sport, Strongman and other unconventional training throughout Western Canada. Kaevon has competed in Olympic lifting and strongman, and is training towards more Strongman competions, Highland Games, and Kettlebell Sport.

Mario Piattelli

Mario has been involved in Powerlifting for more than 10 years and competes Nationally and Internationally for Canada. He is a Multiple time World Champion and World record holder in various weight and age classes and the co-founder of Independent Powerlifting. Independent powerlifting is a group of individuals from all walks of life that are committed and dedicated to the pursuit of strength regardless of federation.

Coach Marshall Ennis

As an international strength athlete and a powerful entertainer, Marshall has hosted, produced, and competed in international strength events from Las Vegas, USA to Dubai, UAE. One of Marshall’s proudest accomplishments has been to create, host and producer the first international Strongman television series viewed around the world by millions of people, which shows his personal desire to reach his uncapped potential. Coach Marshall is also the head of strength and conditioning for the B.O.S crew's Strongman and Highland games athletes. Marshall trains the crew at his new gym "Strong Impressions" in Calgary, Alberta. Coach recently announced that he will be coming out of retirement to compete in next year's Masters Highland Games.You can find out more about Coach at his website www.marshallennis.com

"Iron Will" Misty Shearer

"I don't beat anyone. I just don't let them beat me. If they try to beat me, they wear out and lose."
Misty is the B.O.S. crews Edmonton rep, with sportting accomplishment a mile long some of Misty's achievments include:
– Being one of four women in Canada with a Blackbelt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (under Rodrigo Munduruca Gracie Humaita).
– Competed at the Abu Dhabi World Pro BJJ Championships in 2010
– WKA and CMTF Women’s Canadian Lightweight Kickboxing Champion 1996
– World Powerlifting Championships - 70kg – 3rd 1994
The only thing more impressive than her sporting accomplishments is her depth of unconventional training knowledge. Misty is a World Kettlebell Club Fitness Instructor and Strength & Conditioning Coach, as well as being North America's first certified Macebell Mauler. Misty trains clients out of Sherwood Park, AB. Jesse Martini

Jesse has been involved in Olympic lifting for an intermittent 3 years over the last decade and recently placed 5th at the Canadian Nationals this year with a total of 323kg. Jesse was actually a fulltime hockey player up until 2004. Originally from Calgary he climbed the ranks through Midget AAA and Junior A to play for the Mount Royal College Cougars and finishing his career with half a season in Italy. Jesse is also the head weightlifting coach at the B.O.S. facility. In addition to his family and plumbing business he is working towards competing internationally for Canada.

Dimitri "Soup" Tsoumpas

Soup brings not only a wealth of experience to the B.O.S. crew, being a CFL all star, as well as signing to the Dolphins in 2010, but a wealth of knowledge with 3 years of Strength and Conditioning coaching under his belt as well as a Bachelor of Science in Human Performance and a minor in Nutrition and Coaching.

MAX “TBD” DALSIN

Max has been training with Kaevon since day one. Acting as an eager guinea pig for every new implement and training routine Kaevon could think of. Max has been involved in sports since an early age, having played Hockey and Rugby throughout high school as well as being involved in martial arts for the last 10 years. Max really came into his element when he started MMA, with a pro record 4-1 and no where to go but up, we’re expecting big things from Max, especially since not only does he have some of the best MMA coaches in Canada, but the best strength and conditioning coaches as well.

CARLOS “Los” COOK

Carlos has been involved in sports nearly all his life and it shows. Having played football for 10 years, ending with the U of C Dino’s in 2007, Carlos began to focus on strength sports instead. 2010 was his first year competing in Powerlifting and came out very strong having made the CPU nationals. Carlos has now taken up Strongman and his dynamic athletic and sheer power are making him a dominant force in the under 230 category. Carlos was introduced to Kettlebell training in the summer of 2010 and is now training with them extensively.

TOMMY AKA “GENGHIS TOM”

Tommy comes to the B.O.S. crew from straight out of Mongolia, having emigrated to Calgary last year. Tom has been Powerlifting (Raw) for 5 years having received Gold or silver in all his meets so far. Tommy has also competed in strongman in Mongolia, and did his first Canadian competition in July here in Calgary. Before getting into strength sports Tom competed in freestyle and traditional Mongolian wrestling for 5 years in Mongolia.

NATHAN "DIESEL" DONAHUE
